Double board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, Dr. Maxwell is the primary fertility specialist at SCRC's Santa Barbara location. She completed her training at NYU Langone Medical Center, where she received the Robert Porges Award for outstanding chief resident and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society In-Training Award for her research. Her own personal experience with infertility informs the compassionate, individualized approach she brings to every patient.

Dr. Maxwell previously served as a clinical assistant professor at prominent institutions including New York University School of Medicine and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell. Her academic excellence was recognized with the Robert Porges Award for outstanding chief resident and the Pacific Coast Reproductive Society In-Training Award for her research in reproductive endocrinology and infertility during her training.
She has published extensively on Pre-implantation Genetic Testing for Aneuploidy and embryonic mosaicism in Fertility and Sterility, Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics, and Reproductive Sciences. She regularly reviews manuscripts for the Journal of Assisted Reproduction and Genetics and Reproductive BioMedicine Online.
