At Southern California Reproductive Center, our commitment has always been to offer our patients the most advanced, evidence-based tools available. Today, we’re proud to announce our partnership with Nucleus Genomics, a milestone that expands what’s possible for the thousands of families we serve each year.
What This Means for Our Patients
Through our new partnership with Nucleus Genomics, SCRC patients will now have access to Nucleus’ expanded carrier screening (Preview) and advanced embryo analysis (Embryo) integrated directly into IVF care at all four of our California locations in Beverly Hills, Santa Barbara, Pasadena, and Ventura.
This means more insight, earlier in the process. Patients can opt into comprehensive analysis that covers more than 2,000 rare inherited conditions, as well as common conditions like heart disease and diabetes. That includes the ability to assess embryo risk for conditions like cystic fibrosis and PKU, as well as expanded hereditary cancer syndromes such as hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome (HBOC) and Lynch syndrome.
“Our ability to provide genetic screening for our patients’ embryos gives patients access to testing that can offer reassurance. This remarkable breakthrough addresses concerns about birth defects, provides genetic analysis, and helps us assess an embryo’s potential to result in a healthy pregnancy” said Dr. Mark Surrey, founder of SCRC.
Fertility medicine has always moved forward by combining clinical expertise with the best available science. Partnering with Nucleus reflects exactly that philosophy. Nucleus has rapidly expanded its IVF+ Network to 160+ clinics globally, and we’re proud to be among the leading U.S. centers adopting this technology.
A Shift Toward Preventive Fertility Care
Patients are increasingly seeking more information about their embryos and the data supports it. Recent research shows that nearly three-quarters of U.S. adults are supportive of advanced genetic technologies in IVF. As patient expectations evolve, we believe deeper genomic insight will become a standard part of fertility care, not an exception.
With more than 25 years of clinical leadership and thousands of families helped, SCRC has always been at the forefront of reproductive medicine. This partnership with Nucleus is the next step in that commitment, bringing preventive medicine to the very start of life.
