Many of our patients come to SCRC for our state-of-the-art Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) facilities. ART refers to a set of procedures that involve the direct manipulation of oocytes (eggs), sperm, and embryos. This includes in vitro fertilization (IVF) and embryo transfer (IVF-ET), intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), and assisted hatching (AH) of embryos. Newer developments in assisted reproductive technology include embryo biopsy and preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) for chromosomal and genetic evaluation.
